Worried your child isn't getting enough Educational Play Time at home?
We don’t always have the time to sit and play with our children. Unfortunately, due to the demanding world we live in today, our children miss out. Our busy life’s leave us with barely a minute left to think about creating new games to play at home.
And often once home in the evening it’s time to start the bath, dinner and bedtime routine. Trying to complete everything before it gets too late and you're ready for bed yourself.
It's so easy to let the days slip by without making quality time for our kids. That’s why I make a conscious effort every night before my kids go to bed to sit down and play a game with them for at least 30 mins, ideally an hour if it’s not too late. We choose a game that everyone can play and everyone always likes to join in.
The truth is when children are young all they want is a parent’s attention, and I know with my two if they don’t get the attention they need, they start to misbehave.
Bonding time is important for parents and children. It’s time for you to help your child grow and learn, answer questions, ask them questions, get to know their personalities and enjoy the relaxed downtime together, doing this will ensure you have a strong connection with your child.
After a game, it’s story and bed. We complete this ritual every Monday to Friday with the weekends being a little more flexible.
I notice that when I do this my children often sleep better too, the bonding and together time helps them prepare for a better night’s sleep.
